Mountain biking, kayaking, horse riding – the ingredients of a cocktail of unforgettable emotions in the beautiful nature of Bulgaria! Our guide is an expert in each of these activities.

Itienrary:

Day 1. Arrival
Arrival Sofia . Overnight in Sofia.

Day 2. Vitosha Mountains Trekking.
Short transfer to the first station of Dragalevtsi chair-lift which takes us to Mount Goli Vrah (meaning Bare Peak - 1428 m a.s.l.). Trekking to Cherni Vrah (The Black Peak – 2290 m a.s.l.) – the highest point of the mountain which reveals stunning panoramic views all around you. From Black Peak we go down passing by Skoparnik Peak in the foot hills of Rezniovete Massif reaching Aleko Mountain Base. The route follows grassed dirt roads and well-marked pathways in the higher outdoors of the mountains. The terrain is moderate, without challenging parts.
Walking time: 4 – 5 hrs. uphill/downhill: 500m / 500m

Day 3. Cycling.
One hour bus transfer to Plana Village. We start cycling through the mountain to reach the Valley of Iskar River. Transfer to the vacation village Shtarkelovo Gnezdo (“Stork’s Nest”) for overnight in the bungalows near the bank of Iskar Dam.This mountain route is nice and easy, going along some grassed dirt roads through meadows and deciduous woods. The landscape is pastoral with wonderful views inviting you for long breaks for contemplation.
Cycling specifics: Duration 3-4 hrs; uphill/downhill cycling: 250m/ 550m.

Day 4. Kayaking in Iskar Dam.
Today the main goal is to reach the opposite side of the dam which is about 4-5 km away. You could go on exploring the dam depending on your wishes and abilities. Transfer from the opposite shore to Borovets Ski Resort, in the foothills of Rila Mountains. Overnight in hotel in Borovets.

Day 5. Trekking in The Rila Mountains.
In the morning we take the lift up to Yastrebets Peak (2369 m a.s.l.). Enjoyable walk along Dwarf Pine massifs takes us to Musala Hut and Musalenski Lakes Circus. Passing by the Icy Lake (2709 m a.s.l.) and shelter we reach the highest peak on the Balkan Peninsula – Mount Musala (2925 m a.s.l.). We start our decent back to Yastrebets Peak where we take the lift down to Borovets. Overnight in hotel in Borovets.
Walking time 7 – 8 hrs. uhill/downhill: 560m / 560m.

Day 6. Horse Riding in Rila.
Today we take a stroll with the horses around Borovets and the lower parts of Rila Mountains. We aim for Malka Lukovitsa and Golyam Gyiol areas where we stop for lunch. The trail makes a loop back to Borovets passing by Shumnatitsa chalet to reach our hotel.
Duration: 5 hrs. The route may be changed and customized on spot depending on participants’ wishes and abilities. Overnight in Borovets.

Day 7. Cycling.
This time we take the asphalt road from Borovets to Beli Iskar from where the cycling continues to Govedartsi and CMS Maliovitsa. We can stop and have a rest in Govedartsi en route or have a picnick at the nice meadows which we pass. Transfer from CMS Maliovitsa to Sofia. Overnight in Sofia.
Distance: 32 km. The cycling route is a bit hilly with a slight uphill at the end.

Day 8. Departure.
Transfer to Sofia airport and departure.
